WILHELMSHAVEN. The Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsamt (WSA) Weser-Jade-Nordsee announced in March the successful completion of the major refurbishment and conversion of the sliding gate at the Wilhelmshaven sea lock.

HAMBURG. In March, Johannes Stelten was appointed as managing director of EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg (CTH). The 57-year-old succeeded Tom Eckelmann who, according to the company, is now focussing on new responsibilities at Eurokai and the EUROGATE Group. “Johannes Stelten is a very experienced manager and has successfully mastered numerous executive roles in the EUROGATE Group,” stated Michael Blach, chair of the Group board, commenting on the change at the helm.

New multi-purpose terminal planned for JadeWeserPort
WILHELMSHAVEN. Germany’s only deep-water port, JadeWeserPort, is set to be expanded with a new terminal. “It will be a multi-purpose terminal,” announced NPorts Managing Director Holger Banik at a press conference in March.
