NPorts awarded PERS certificate once again
OLDENBURG. In May, the EcoPorts environmental initiative awarded NPorts the Port Environmental Review System (PERS) certificate for the third time in a row, acknowledging the port company’s environmental and social efforts.
More women in German shipping
HAMBURG. The percentage of women in the German merchant fleet has increased by 1.3 per cent over the past two years, as announced in May by the German Shipowners’ Association (VDR) during the third International Day for Women in Maritime in 2024.

Daily Stuttgart–Bremerhaven train connections
BREMEN. Stuttgart introduced a daily container service by train from its port to Bremerhaven in August. Operated by Necoss Neutral Container Shuttle GmbH, which is based in Bremen, the trains run at night but are loaded and unloaded during the day.
