New mole for Norderney

30.05.2022
NORDEN. The Nordeney south mole has recently undergone construction works. During repair works to the ferry dock 1 on the East Frisian island, the ferry bed is to be adapted for future developments. Besides the reconstruction of the mole, the ferry bed is to be widened by around three metres, taking it to 18 metres. NPorts stated that the new mole will go into operation as from summer 2022. In the meantime, ferry traffic will be handled at the ferry dock 2, which is located on the other side of the shipping company building.
