HAMBURG. Since December, Sören Frank has been the new managing director of ZIM Germany, a subsidiary of the Israeli shipping company ZIM Integrated Shipping Services. Frank has been working in the shipping industry for 25 years and has experience in liner shipping and RORO as well as ship management (tankers and bulkers). He has been commercial director at ZIM Germany since 2011, where his duties include responsibility for human resources and finance.

BREMERHAVEN. Together with the Port of Antwerp and the South Korean Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Corporation, Bremerhaven took a step towards low-emission shipping in April. At the “International Green RoRo Shipping Corridor and Decarbonisation Workshop” in Bremerhaven, the partners issued a joint statement announcing the launch of a green shipping corridor.

Moderate growth for 2026, pre-crisis levels achievable by 2029 – this is the forecast from the Central Association of German Seaport Operators (ZDS) in response to the “Rolling Medium-Term Forecast for Freight and Passenger Transport” published in April 2026 by the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM).
WILHELMSHAVEN In April and May, the “2026 Wilhelmshaven China Roadshow” will tour China, led by the EUROGATE Group and Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort-Marketing GmbH. At stops in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Qingdao, Ningbo and Yiwu, it will showcase Germany’s only deep-water port, the JadeWeserPort to logistics companies and shippers.

NORDEN Anja Bokeloh (centre) is to take over the management of the NPorts site in Norden and will therefore be responsible for the port infrastructure on the East Frisian coast. Since 1 December 2025, she has been working closely with the current branch manager, Friedrich Voß.
